Jasmine is a Detroit native but has called Brooklyn her home for nearly 10 years. Jasmine is a marketing veteran, creative and writer who has spent her career helping to build in-house branded content studios for magazine publishers within the digital media space.
She is a self professed art and culture junkie, who has brought a passion for storytelling and creative to advertising titans across the industry, helping to craft a new space for digital media, social, experiential and technology to meld. She is equal parts strategy focused, out of the box idea generator, and creative writer. She believes that the best ideas come from a strong strategy first.
She started her career at Vogue Magazine at Conde Nast and was an essential member of the digital insights and brand marketing team helping to redefine the brand voice and strategy for a more global, social, digital publisher. She helped launch digital content sponsorships on Vogue.com for brands like David Yurman, Tiffany & Co, Dior and Bloomingdales’s.
Next, she went to the travel brand, AFAR Media where she helped build their branded content studio from the ground up, creating an influencer network of established travel writers and bloggers, connecting the world’s most prominent travel voices to brands. She launched their first influencer marketing campaign for Tourism Australia partnering with The James Beard Foundation to create an unforgettable food and wine experience taking readers deeper into the Countries lesser known experiences through video, social and influencers.
Before joining WP_Narrative, her most recent role was at The New York Times as a Senior Creative Strategist within TBrand Studio, the Times’ branded content wing. She lead a team of strategist who helped conceptualize and execute over 150 branded content programs. She lead brand strategy, content ideation and execution for brands like Delta Airlines, Stella Artois, HBO, Diane von Furstenberg, Pinterest and GE many of which were first of its kind programs combining experiential content and new technologies in VR, AR, and volumetric video with new newsroom initiatives, leading a new frontier of digital first journalism.
Jasmine graduated with a marketing degree from Purdue University. She also holds a master’s degree from CalArts in Creative Writing and Media Studies where she worked to develop writing and theory in literature and media criticism to create work that examines how we will consume media and entertainment in the future.
